Word of a new book

A new book does not announce itself. There is no advertisement, no table at the front of the store, no page anywhere that tells you a novel you were waiting for came out in March. If you want to know when the next one is finished, this is how you will find out, and it may well be the only way.

Leave your email, and I’ll contact you when a book has a title and a date. Not before, and not for anything else. I don’t yet know whether the next one comes in the spring or whether there are two a year. I write when the work is ready, so the only promise I can make is the one that matters: I will not write to you for any other reason.

No newsletter. No essays. Nothing to keep up with. One note when there is a book, and quiet again until the next one.
